  • 3 Days Round Anglesey

The Weekend of the 31st March to the 2nd April was spent sailing round Anglesey with 3 very good Day Skippers Gary, Steve and Iolo.  Day 1 saw great sailing along the North of Anglesey with things getting rather interesting when we rounded Carmel Head in a wind against tide situation.  The boys coped brilliantly although they ended out soaked. The wind that was against us was at times Force 8 instead of the Force 4-5 forcast. The boys survived and we spent a peaceful night in Holyhead before leaving early on Saturday to be able to get to Caernarfon Bar in time to pass with the tide.  Saturday night was spent at Menai Bridge where we were joined by Iolo's son who stayed with us for the Sunday trip back to Deganwy.  Once safely in our berth he entertained us doing the dinghy exercise which we managed to video so that we could forward to his mother.  Great weekend had by all.
